Name Day Calendar inspired by Motifs from Rainis’ Plays

This calendar draws one’s attention to the origin of Latvians’ personal names. Many personal names used nowadays have been inspired by the names of the characters in Rainis’ plays. The page for each month in the calendar contains an interpretation of the personal name of a leading character in Rainis’ plays through a black and white illustration and an explanation of the origin of the name.
