Winding its way around Tanīsa Hill and the ruins of Rauna Medieval Castle is the Rauna History Trail. It is lined with five environmental installations. These installations interpret the architectonic structure of Rauna Medieval Castle and its structural elements. The forms are generalized, highlighting the value of the proportions and solidity so characteristic of medieval architecture. Textual and graphic information about the history of the castle is integrated into each of the installations, some of which are augmented with manual activities, helping visitors to discover the castle’s history in a direct and interactive way.
