Personality, president, and family – the three facets of the exhibition reveal the emotional and inspiring story of the first President of the Latvian State, Jānis Čakste, the fates of his family and history of their house. This family museum is dedicated to an outstanding personality and to the idea of the founding of the Latvian State, which was reinforced by belief in the values of democracy. The exhibition was created as an open space for discussion, allowing each and every visitor to get involved and offer their opinion about the values of a democratic state.
